Domain purchase
A ‘domain’ is the link that your users can click on to access your website. Example endings are: ‘.com’, ‘.co.uk’, ‘.net’. Our domain is ‘bytesofintelligence.co.uk’. We are more than happy to buy the domain which you require, and you can choose whichever name you want (as long as it is available!)
The price of a domain is between £10-£30 per year, which is paid to the hosting company themselves.
Web Hosting
The web hosting is how your files and pages are stored on the world wide web. Without a web hosting provider, the website is unable to go public. The web hosting provider which we use is called Hostinger as we feel that their service is affordable, yet high quality. Once we purchase the domain, we need to use DNS nameservers to link the domain of the website to the web hosting platform themselves. We will do this for you, so don’t worry!
We provide 100 email addresses (with a custom domain e.g. contact@yourdomain.co.uk)
For Level 2 services and above, we even provide Google Analytics tracking information, so that you are able to see how many people are spending time on your website, from which country and city, which pages in particular, and real-time performance levels.
WordPress
The platform that your website will be run on is called WordPress. This is a fantastic user-friendly way to manage your website on a day-to-day basis, and we will setup WordPress so that it is installed on your domain and linked to the web hosting platform. Once the initial template of the website is complete, we will show you how to add new posts to the blog, or change any information on an existing page. If your website has other admins we can even create logins for them to enter the website and make changes.
The template of the website is completely up to you! We will contact you with a few questions as to what you are looking for, and will provide 3-5 design templates (e.g. styling of the pages, the homepage, blog etc.) and you can choose the one that suits you best.
Cost
We believe that websites are vital for all businesses, organisations or portfolios. Our price is as affordable as possible, and we charge a fee depending on how many pages you require, and any additional help that is needed.
- Fixed cost of Domain: less than £30 per year (you can also pay this directly to the hosting provider and provide me the login details)
- Fixed cost of Web Hosting: ~£70 per year (you can also pay this directly to the hosting provider and provide me the login details)
Level 1: £100*
Level 1 website is one with four pages or less in total so that only simple transitions to other pages is required. This includes the complete design, domain and web hosting linkage, and 100 email addresses.
Level 2: £150*
Level 2 provides a website with 7 pages in total, and other plugins which you require (e.g. login pages, user accounts, Google Analytics) This includes the complete design, domain and web hosting linkage and 100 email addresses.
Level 3: £250*
Level 3 provides a website with 10 pages in total, and other plugins which you require (e.g. login pages, user accounts, Google Analytics) This includes the complete design, domain and web hosting linkage and 100 email addresses.
Level 4: £400*
Level 4 provides a detailed and complex website with multiple pages, and any other plugins which you require (e.g. login pages, user accounts, Google Analytics) This includes the complete design, domain and web hosting linkage and 100 email addresses. Also includes email support for any questions.

If you would like us to design your Logo, we would be more than happy to do this. Cost: £60
Should you wish to have additional consultations or amend requirements from the originally-agreed template, we charge £35 per each additional hour of our time.
